Specify the folder for
msdebug.txt
When running a debug on MicroStation, it creates the resulting
msdebug.txt
file in the same folder that contains
ustation.exe
. However, if you set a system environment variable called
MSCFGVAROUT
to an alternate output folder, it will be created there instead.
For example, go to the Command Prompt, change the folder to the location of
ustation.exe
and enter the following commands:
set MS_CFGVAROUT = c:\temp\
ustation -debug
Note: MS_CFGVAROUT is a system environment variable since it must be set *before* the MicroStation configuration files are processed. In addition, setting this variable as shown is only temporary. Closing the Command Prompt window dismisses it.
