You'll be pleased to know that you can still verify and repair V8 design files in the event that there may be problems with the elements. Here's how.
Workflow #1 Copy the offending design file to the folder that contains ustation.exe, this would typically be C:\Program Files\Bentley\Program\MicroStation\ To verify the elements in the file, open Command Prompt window and keyin: ustation.exe -verify filename.dgn To verify and repair the file, keyin: ustation.exe -vrg filename.dgn An Alert dialog will appear on your screen asking for your confirmation. Upon completion of the verification/repair process, the file will display and the Message Center will be open showing any pertinent information. Workflow #2: From within MicroStation, keyin the following: mdl load verifydgn. Once the application has been loaded, you can use either of these commands: For verifying the file: verifydgn verify For repairing a file: verifydgn repair
