For the 10th consecutive year, Bentley is pleased to co-sponsor the ASCE/AISC Student Steel Bridge Competition. This yearly challenge gives ASCE student chapters the opportunity to organize a team on their campus to tackle a bridge design project by directly applying engineering principles. While testing their skills in steel design, fabrication, scheduling, and project management, they also can harness their competitive spirit—and produce tangible proof of their school’s engineering excellence!
Along with our continuing financial support of the National competition, Bentley is pleased to once again offer steel bridge teams from participating ASCE student chapters free software, and also learning materials and support.
For the 2018 competition, we offer the following to participating teams:
Free software (STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition) for the duration of the 2018 competition.
We will contact your student chapter’s Faculty Advisor with more information.
If you don’t hear from your faculty advisor within the next few weeks, then participating ASCE student chapters can contact us at email@example.com. Please use a Subject line of Student Steel Bridge Competition Request, and provide the following information:
1. School Name and Location
2. Name and Email Address of team's Faculty Advisor
3. Name and Email Address of Steel Bridge Team Captain(s)
4. Name and Email Address of each steel bridge team member requesting access to software, learning materials, and support
Support is available, to help teams use STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition to design, and then analyze, their steel bridge.
Please Note: refer to the Official 2018 NSSBC Rules, when designing and analyzing your bridge!
