Meet our Bentley Institute Student Ambassador: Ting Li from Dalian Nationalities University in China.

Bentley Institute Student Ambassadors are future professionals who are passionate about technology and enthusiastic about promoting new trends in the industry among their peers. Their key responsibilities are to act as a link between Bentley Institute and their campus for planning and organizing activities which will keep the students engaged and interested in learning Bentley technology. The Student Ambassador’s contribution adds value to academic courses by facilitating activities that bridge the gap between academic learning and the technical skills needed by industry.

This month, Bentley Institute would like to recognize our Student Ambassador Ting Li, a fourth-year student of Structural Engineering and Project Management from Dalian Nationalities University, China.

Ting Li, a self-driven student, voluntarily grabbed the opportunity to be an Ambassador for her campus in March 2017. Immediately after donning this role she organized a workshop in April 2017 on MicroStation which was attended by 30 students from her campus. Further on, she also organized more learning workshops on BIM solutions and webinar for ContextCapture which was attended by 15 students. Thanks to such sessions her students of Dalian National University are now well acquainted with Bentley software. We also recognize the fact that continuing series of sessions in her campus is a result of enthusiasm shown by her to learn and pass the knowledge on further to her peers.

She makes sure that training sessions are not only about learning but also fun, creative and interactive. In fact, we also had a winning from Dalian Nationalities University for the  2017 Bentley Institute Student Design Competition in the Reality Modeling - General Category.

Ting Li does not hesitate to mention that she is grateful for the opportunity given to her, as it has greatly helped her becoming a good coordinator and leader. She also does acknowledge that learning Bentley solutions have improved her understanding of the BIM approach and it will be helpful for her as she launches her career.

At Bentley Institute we are thankful to Ting Li for her encouragement and support to her peers in their ambitions to “Go Digital” by improving their technical skills. We wish the best in all her future endeavors!
