Welcome to the Educators Community - Share your Achievements!

Hello everyone. This is a Community for Academics from all around the world.

Is there any recent or old project that you are proud of? Or maybe any of your students' projects that you are proud of?

We would like to hear more about these!

  • Hi everyone! Emma here from Engineers without Borders Ireland! We run the "Where There Is No Engineer" competition together with the Development Technology in the Community Research Group at TU Dublin: https://wherethereisnoengineer.org/  The competition is about designing for community resilience and working in partnership with communities around the world to tackle development challenges. We are currently partnered with an organisation in Zambia called Zamda Ireland. Our competition themes include climate resilient infrastructure, self supply water and sanitation and on and off grid micro energy solutions. If you'd like to be a guest speaker on our program or get involved in any way, we'd love to hear from you! You can contact me at emma.brown@ewb-ireland.org.

We held the Finals of our competition last Saturday and the overall winners were two architecture students who designed concepts for the development of a village school near Kabwe, Zambia. Our Innovation Award winners designed an educational booklet to introduce students to how water filters work. I attach some photos from the day!

We're looking forward to working with Bentley on prizes for our winning teams.

If you'd like to find out more about our initiative, just drop me a line!
