Today, the 8th of June is World Ocean Day. This day is earmarked to remind us that our oceans are host to a rich eco-system with it's vibrant marine life and we should make every sustainable effort to preserve its natural environment. Through oil spills and leakages, dumping of industrial wastes and tons of plastic pushed into it, our salt rich water bodies are struggling to keep the fragile balance that sustains life within.
