  • The LEARNing Conferences and CONNECTION Events are distinct events serving different purposes.

The LEARNing Conferences are a training event designed for users, project managers, training admins - anyone using current Bentley software products. The Conferences offer 40 hands-on workshops and 80 lectures showing "how-to" and best practices for workflow efficiencies. Training on the upcoming MicroStation CONNECT edition is included among the sessions offered.

The CONNECTION events are designed to introduce the infrastructure community to the benefits of the CONNECT Edition software.  The learning portion of the event is limited to a 3-hour overview lecture & demonstration of the CONNECT editions of MicroStation, ProjectWise, and Navigator.  There are no hands-on workshops and no in-depth software training. The remainder of the CONNECTIONS agenda consists of keynotes, select industry forums, and select application seminars.

As compared with the Road & Site LEARNing Conference, the Chicago CONNECTION event offers a Transportation industry forum and SITEOPS application seminar. connection.bentley.com/chicago

  • How much overlap in content is there between the Indianapolis Road & Site Conference and the Chicago CONNECTION Event two weeks later?

  • Was hoping that New Orleans offerings would offer ProjectWise for Administrators and AssetWise for Utilities - Plant Design...

  • As a naysayer to the format, I must admit that last years was a good start. My only concern is that executives at Bentley miss these opportunities to meet with their users. Yes the awards in Europe offer that ability but without that interaction, it's easy for them to get out of touch and rely on what is reported to them. It's best when you see things for yourself. I would vote for more executives to attend.
