When can we expect any searching funcionality at the New Bentley Learn Server? It is quite useless without an ability to search courses by its content.
Let's say I need a lesson over creating DTMs for machine control with Inroads, how can I find that with the new fency server? Users had no such problems previously with the old learn server.
Hi Adam, that is a good idea, yet due to Bentley Institute featuring a "Learning Path" for each product the point is, to be aware of the whole path when you look for a course. And you are aware about prerequisites at each step of the path.
If you want to discuss a Change Request you may prepend the subject by CR:... and you may want to file a ServiceTicket.
Info for the selected function? Click into the "Toolssettings" dialog and press F1 -- Info zur aktuellen Funktion? Klicken Sie in das "Funktionseinstellungsfenster" und drücken F1
Are you inferring that we would need to file a Service Ticket to actually get the Institute folks to provide a usable product? No thanks, there are plenty of competitors that are willing to listen to customers and provide what the customer needs to complete their training without having to jump through hoops.
This whole search ability has been brought to Bentley’s attention for a number of months and judging from the continued lack of search function, allowing the customers to find what they need is not high on the priority list. In my opinion, there are too many managers not willing to listen and go into defense mode and too few actual workers, who do provide excellent service.
I really do not want to annoy you and understand your request. What I say is that the forum is the channel for discussion - the more people cime in the better (priority-wise) and prepending the subject CR: makes it searchable. The ServiceTicket is the official channel for a technical request. Through this channel you can follow progress and also induce escalation procedures. HTH, Gerd
is anything going to change about search engine?
I am sorry to say that again, but searching by product name to view recommended learning paths and narrow search results by language and product generation has nothing in common with searching.
If yahoo or google works that way no one will use them!!!
I don't want to bring my arguments from other posts here, but as far as I am concerned, New Bentley Learn is a waste of time and money for training subscription!
Learning paths could be only an addition to a previous search engine. And mostly new Bentley software users would use that kind of searching. I don't know anyone who would prefer Learning Paths over old searching functionality. People don't want Bentley recommend them what they need, they need fast access to information. I believe that ProjectWise developers should understand that.
Bentley software help engineers to save their valuable time. Unfortunately this time is wasted for searching information in such area as New Bentley Learn Server.
BTW. Are there any new courses available since NBL Server started? It was easy to find such courses with the old BL Server. Now we dont know whether Bentley add new content or not.
still no news regarding search functionality at the new bls?
