The image shows the results of place coordinates with various combinations of the working unit/design file settings in preferences on or off. None of these give a result that is expected. There should be commas instead of spaces are in the northings and eastings. When working unit format is selected, the results are truncated by inserting a decimal point in the first blank space. And the elevations should not have a space after the thousands digit (should look like the result on the left from the spot elevation tool).
Is this a bug, or is there a way to get commas inserted where they should be, and removed from the elevations? Since working units are design file settings, what is the working unit setting supposed to do?
John,
I have found the issue and it will be fixed in a future build of the tool.

Thanks John. Will a notice of the new build will be posted here?
Any update on this ? im facing the same issue
Can we get this problem fixed, please? It's been 2 years since an update was promised.
Hi John,
I ended up making my own tool as a cell with place holder and fields, I found a tutorial on youtube and in blog or ask inga
but in any case once you place the cell you keyin
field update all file
and the coordinates refresh and the arrow leader is reassociated.. you can even copy it around your design file... for my needs it was easier than civ tools
you can set your own prefs from the active .cel file you create the original in here is my version you can edit it at will or rebuild it..
if the leader is not long enough I use fence stretch to move what I need to where its needed.. if you only doing a few set out points and not several my cell works great
Mine is 2d you'll need to modify it but you'll get the idea from what I've done ... I built it because I wanted the box and not an underline and I didnt need the RL or elevatation but you can make that too...
2dplaceholder.cel
here is what mine looks like after placement note the coords are text fields and the rest is a place not leader and a polygon...
if you make your text size 1mm then attach the cell scale to suit text size desired, mne was by default 1.8mm suites my needs perfectly..
let me know how you get on... FYI if you attach the cell via F key keyin script you can add the update fields at the same time... and with accu snap set it works out where I want it at the mouse cursor or can move it with xy= xxxx, yyyy as the arrow head is the cell origin...
