Member unit ratio check incorrect

Dear Sir,

I used SACS to calculate the static strength of crane boom. however, I found some members unit ratio is exceed 1.

 sacinp.inp.dat

I picked the one of these failure members, and found the ratio of the bending stress about y axial is not correct. And other failure members are the same error.

Could you help to check where is the problem with attached the input file?

  • everything is fine here.

according to API RP 2A 21st supplement 3 code(if you adopted this code), when the bending capacity needs to be checked, member slenderness needs to be accounted. taking member 0129-0110 for example, allowable bending stress is 258.75, allowable Euler stress is 110.05, actual applied axial stress is 87.52, and Cm is 0.85, all of the parameters make actual bending stress used for checking (1-87.52/110.05)*258.75/0.85=62.32, so bending UC for axis Y is 27.03/62.32=0.43

in a word, there is no problem here.
