&lt;p&gt;according to API RP 2A 21st supplement 3 code(if you adopted this code), when the bending capacity needs to be checked, member slenderness needs to be accounted. taking member 0129-0110 for example, allowable bending stress is 258.75, allowable Euler stress is 110.05, actual applied axial stress is 87.52, and Cm is 0.85, all of the parameters make actual bending stress used for checking (1-87.52/110.05)*258.75/0.85=62.32, so bending UC for axis Y is 27.03/62.32=0.43&lt;/p&gt;
