Automated daily quarter to date overage report

How can I automate a daily report that shows all overages quarter to date (the bases for the automatic invoicing) from the hosted Bentley Select server?  Because Bentley is able to automatically generate invoices on these bases, this should be easy without any ridicules workaround such as running peak usages reports and doing a day by day comparison to known holdings.

  • The Trusted Usage report has historically been the way to quickly highlight overuse. It still is useful for SELECT users that have not moved to the SELECT Open Access program. Unfortunately, the report is currently useless for SELECT Open Access users such as yourself because license quantities are no longer limited to the number of licenses owned. Our SELECTserver development team is aware of the issue and has plans to address it (enhancement 92527). Until then, the Peak Usage report is the only way to obtain daily peak usage updates.

That being said, the SELECT Open Access portal can be used to essentially provide a Trusted Usage report that is updated monthly. This resource does show the licenses owned and whether any overages occur. Additionally, by clicking on one of the days in the graph, an hourly usage chart will appear listing machine names, a graphical portrayal of the data shown in the Application Usage By Hour report on SELECTserver. For others reading this forum post, the SELECT Open Access portal can be used by any SELECT users, regardless of whether they utilize the SELECT Open Access program.

  • What is the target date for the enhancement?

"Our development team is aware of the issue and is currently working to make the reports more useful for SELECT Open Access users (enhancement 89058)."

We delayed the move from our deployed server to the hosted server until our deployed server's license was expiring in anticipation that the reporting issues would be corrected by now.
