Hiding Site Activation Keys

We use group policy objects to manage the activation key for our desktop machines.  This method allows us to hide the activation key if a user were to open the license management tool.  We also have a few devices that are not covered by the group policy but the activation key is visible in plain text.  Is there any way to hide the activation key for devices not covered by the group policy?

  • It is possible. Create a DWORD key named HideActivationKey and assign it a value of 1 (decimal) in the same registry location where you have the actual server name and site activation key. Normally the path is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Bentley\Licensing\1.1 or HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bentley\Licensing\1.1.
