Bentley Navigator CONNECT Proxy Issue

Hi All,

I have downloaded and installed the new Bentley Navigator CONNECT edition v05.04.01.14 and am now having trouble connecting.
I receive the following message "Could not connect to server. Check your network connection.".

I have followed all the steps outlined in this thread for the Bentley Connection Client: --> communities.bentley.com/.../110521

The following is the contents of C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Bentley\Logs\NavigatorNet.log (emphasis mine)

The correct proxy information has been entered in the license management tool.

Can anyone assist me with this? I am hoping that we can test Bentley Navigator in the field within the next few weeks.

Thanks

  • After some investigation we found a possible workaround for this:

    Try entering Proxy details in License Tool (C:\Program Files\Bentley\Navigator\LicenseTool.exe).

    Create one of the 2 environment variables below:

               https_proxy=machine-name:port

               https_proxy=username:password@machine-name:port

    The first form is for non-authenticating proxies, and the second is for authenticating ones.

    For example, defining https_proxy=127.0.0.1:8888

    Set the variable to match what you have enter into the License Client’s Tools > Options… > Proxy Configuration tab.

    We hope this may resolve the issue for sign-in.

    Regards,
    Darius
