Just read this in Help:
*Please note that turning off the automatic launch and sign-in setting does not prevent the CONNECTION Client from starting when you start MicroStation CONNECT Edition. You’re not required to sign-in, however if you chose not to sign-in to your CONNECTED Project you will not have up to date information such as Project Name, Asset Industry, Asset Type, Location etc, nor will you have access to other CONNECT Services.
This is not true as I have started CONNECT and the Connection Client doesn't start. I have to start it manually Why?

That statement is from the EAP version of the CONNECTION client and does not apply to the commercial version. Please read CONNECTION client Options. There you'll see on the Options menu the setting to have it launch every time you start your computer.

Unknown said:Assuming you are meaning that when you start MicroStation CONNECT Edition the Connection Client is not started, I believe the client should be starting up as a service on start up of the PC. If you look in the bottom right corner of the Task Bar you should see a new Bentley icon showing that the Connection Client service is loaded. The following Wiki article should assist in identifying any issues you may have with this and how to locate and provide the log files for further support. communities.bentley.com/.../23729.connection-client-options
No I don't see an icon in the Task Bar. As I have said I have to manually start the connection client.

That statement came from Help from the commercial CONNECT release.
