Private users or Students are no longer able to use Bentley View SS4 as it requires CONNECTION login. Yes CONNECTION login is possible to be created by anybody but it doesn't allow to login as non-SELECT users don't have Personal Portal or site administrator. Also installing on clean computer it for some reason also sets Microstation Powerdraft(ID:1038) license. Uninstalling Connection client is also not an option as then it later shows message that it should be downloaded again from fullfilment center(which is not available to non-SELECT users).
The inability to use Bentley View for a user that does not have a Bentley account has been resolved. Please download the latest version of the CONNECTION Client from the iWare store https://store.bentley.com/en/products/iware/1000CC--CONNECTION-client .
Once installed, sign in to the CONNECTION Client start Bentley View and it should activate. If it doesn't go to the License Management Tool on the machine located here: "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Bentley Shared\CONNECTION Client\LicenseTool.exe" then do the following: Tools > Send Logs Now and then check to see if the CONNECTION Client says "Activated" on the Activation Status tab.

Unfortunately it is only a temporal fix as still users can get warning to buy Bentley View license if they do not reCONNECT after 7 days.

It's not a temporary fixe, it's working as designed. All users of Bentley View must sign in at least once every 7 days to continue to use it.

I am new to Bentley viewer. I did follow your procedure, but still the licensing tool does not activate the viewer. I tried several times to send the log, but it does not activate.
Any information, or help for me to be able to use the viewer (I am talking about the "Bentley View Connect Edition").
