Now that we have to have CC installed on all pc's with Bentley products perhaps someone could schedule out what benefits it brings to an organisation, because at the moment I am seeing very little. In all the time of it being installed on my pc (2 years + I would think) I have had no notifications as far as I can remember, and when it lets me know about an upgrade it's usually late as I've seen the announcement in the MicroStation forum. It would have an added benefit if it could let me know about upgrades to non CONNECT programs. I understand the reason why it doesn't that that is just a cop out.
Please don't just give me links to wikis, as that doesn't help. A real answer with a list would be good.
Stuart,as I've just completed a large project, I've been looking into using Connection client, but if you're having difficulty with it - I haven't got a hope.
I just can't imaging my clients registering with Bentley and , if they did, I'm pretty sure they would not be thanking me when they start getting "overage notifications" etc.
The Bentley Connect videos are slick and impressive, but I still don't believe there is any such thing as free lunch - especially from a company that charges quite a lot (diplomatic) for CAD software licencing.

But they have to be a Team Member, that is registered with Bentley, which is still not going to work!! Can't expect clients, contractors and outside consultants to sign up for this when there are easier options.
Thanks
I have just realised (when looking for something else) that two years ago it was noted that you could share i-models and pdfs. So in two years there has been no progression into allowing sharing of other formats!!
The problem will be that as you 'expand as you go forward' you will have missed the boat and the way the users work now will be what they use in the future. Unless you introduce some fantastic features that makes this an attraction option. I guess that time will tell!!
