According to the enterprise portal we used CONNECT advisor for 24 hours last month. I don't know how this is possible as I didn't use it once as far as I know!

My account manager has contacted me and explained that there is no possibility of my company being billed for the overage notices that I mentioned.
He went on to explain that "CONNECT" may have issues, as it is now, with a user logging in on another Bentley user's system. It's a long story.
I took his kind assurance - but really hope these kind of things don't persist.
Stuart - there seem to be some bugs here. I hope your issue is resolved to your satisfaction.
