We don't allow users to install software onto their pc's, so how do I stop notifications for updates appearing in CC.
If this is not possible how do I stop users installing updates, etc, but allowing me, as administrator, to do this?
Hi Stuart,
You can turn off update notifications in the CONNECTION Client for your users with a registry setting. The registry key to disable updates can be found here at the bottom of the wiki: https://communities.bentley.com/communities/other_communities/sign-in_assistance_and_web_services/w/wiki/36379/installation---silent
Here's a link to Microsoft documentation on how to distribute the changes see: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727154.aspx#EBAA

Is there an easier way of doing this? Seems a bit over the top to have to change the registry!
Also, I have been notified of a MicroStation Connect update, but as this has only updated three things (that we don't use) I don't need to install. How do I stop this notification?
Hello. Can anyone help me with this?

Can someone from Bentley respond to this query please.
Have your tried changing "Notify me....." to "Do not check to updates"?
