We don't allow users to install software onto their pc's, so how do I stop notifications for updates appearing in CC.
If this is not possible how do I stop users installing updates, etc, but allowing me, as administrator, to do this?
Hi Stuart,
You can turn off update notifications in the CONNECTION Client for your users with a registry setting. The registry key to disable updates can be found here at the bottom of the wiki: https://communities.bentley.com/communities/other_communities/sign-in_assistance_and_web_services/w/wiki/36379/installation---silent
Here's a link to Microsoft documentation on how to distribute the changes see: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727154.aspx#EBAA

Is there an easier way of doing this? Seems a bit over the top to have to change the registry!

Is there anyone at Bentley who can help me with this problem?
Well its nearly 3 weeks since I posted about this and no response from Bentley? Why?
Well this is just a half a$$ed forum. If you file a Service Ticket they are required to respond to Select customers. Bentley has changed a lot from the early days. If I wasn't so old, I'd switch CAD softwares like now. Still watching for a good open source project.
