We don't allow users to install software onto their pc's, so how do I stop notifications for updates appearing in CC.
If this is not possible how do I stop users installing updates, etc, but allowing me, as administrator, to do this?
Hi Stuart,
You can turn off update notifications in the CONNECTION Client for your users with a registry setting. The registry key to disable updates can be found here at the bottom of the wiki: https://communities.bentley.com/communities/other_communities/sign-in_assistance_and_web_services/w/wiki/36379/installation---silent
Here's a link to Microsoft documentation on how to distribute the changes see: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727154.aspx#EBAA

Is there an easier way of doing this? Seems a bit over the top to have to change the registry!
Well this is just a half a$$ed forum. If you file a Service Ticket they are required to respond to Select customers. Bentley has changed a lot from the early days. If I wasn't so old, I'd switch CAD softwares like now. Still watching for a good open source project.

I have done. Lets see what they say!
I've had poor luck with these, hope you make out better.
Any update there from your side? It is also relevant for someone out there as well :)
Hi - can you clarify what your question is here? This topic got split into two requests, one was to turn off notifications for all products (we have two options that are described above) and one is for turning off notifications for a specific product (we do not have this option currently).
Thanks,
Glenn
