Hi there,
I filed a Site Service Request months ago but gets no responses yet so I post it here again.
Due to the changes in our staffing, we have expressed our intention to decrease the number of seats in some applications in our Select subscription. We were surprised to learn that Bentley no longer provide node-locked (NL) license to unsubscribed software as before.
It seems that the only chance we can keep our perpetually licensed products is to terminate the whole Select program and start a new one. Is this the only solution? If so, please advice me how many days will it take for us get NL licenses when Select program ends.
My Regards,
Neil Chou, Manager of IT Department, Sinotech Engineering, Taiwan
Rachel, Thanks for your reply.
We did talked to local representative and what we were told is different. Anyway, could you please explain in detail on "cover one cover all". I guess there are some misunderstandings on these terms.
Neil
Hi Neil,
Bentley still provide node-locked license to non-SELECT users if they own perpetual license. It's not changed. However, please note the SELECT subscription policy is cover one cover all. Instead of to have SELECT full cancellation, there are other solutions such as to have license surrender or license inactive so you can renew just partial of your licenses. Please check with your local Bentley Account Manager or Subscription Renewals Representative.
