Hi everyone,
I've had a look on the site for an answer to this and I'm coming up with nada. Am I missing something simple, or is Bentley intent on having me manually plug in the site activation key and server name on every machine?
In addition to this I noticed another peculiarity... I was recently involved in a SELECTserver migration at one of our other sites. The initial migration went fine. I knew that each machine would need to have the server name updated in the License Management Utility of MS, so I decided to type up a little "How To" so that the users could do this themselves (which ironically, was meant to save me time). My tests were fine however the individual users were constantly met with an "Unable to obtain a list of available licenses" dialogue. I still haven't worked out as to why this is. Could it be a permissions problem. It should be noted at this point that we are activating against locally deployed select servers.
Also, even when the Server name and Site Activation key is entered. Upon doing a "test connection" you will get success, however when refreshing the license list you get "unable to retrieve list of available license"
Has anyone else come across these problems (particularly my initial query)?
Cheers guys.
Steven,
I did not see the headings you are talking about in the help file. Which help file would this be in? I was looking in the MicroStation XM microstation.chm help file.
Thanks
