CONNECT Advisor shameful Czech localization quality

Hi,

a continuation of older findings of terrible localization quality, now for CONNECTION Advisor.

Who is responsible for the localization of CONNECTION Advisor to Czech language?

Frankly, it looks more like an output from Google Translator, done by somebody who is not either English or Czech native speaker and who does not know Bentley software at all. I can see:

  • Wrongly translated words, where wrong translation is used even when normal direct translation is better.
  • Roughly correct (from vocabulary perspective) translations, but because software context is ignored, the translation is confusing and illogical.
  • Microsoft Windows terminology (which is available publicly as a ditionary to be used by other developers!) is ignored, so in situation when there is a standard term or sentence used in Windows and better localized applications, own translation is used. Again, confusing for users...

I find it suprising and strange the discussed localizations (CONNECT Advisor and CONNECTION Client) passed localization quality check. But maybe no quality check exists?

With regards,

  Jan
