CONNECT Advisor: How to configure a langauge used by GUI?

Hi,

is it possible (and how) to configure what langauge will be used in CONNECT Advisor GUI?

I have MicroStation CONNECT Edition Update 11, English version, installed; no other language pack is installed. From some reason CONNECT Advisor is started with Czech GUI, which is awfully bad. Surprisingly, I have also MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 4) English installed and from V8i, CONNECT Advisor is started with English GUI.

With regards,

  • CONNECT Advisor uses the language of the consuming product it is launched from

if CA is launched from a Japanese MicroStation, CA would show Japanese UI

if CA is launched from a French MicroStation (or any other Bentley Product), CA would show French UI

if you see Czech GUI from Engish MicroStation, then this would be a defect.

CONNECT Advisor generates some diagnostic logs, that I can check to see what could be the issue

    can you do the following

    • Using Windows Explorer browse to the folder %localappdata%\Bentley\Logs
    • Usually it is something like this C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Bentley\Logs
    • find files that have name advisor in it (eg *advisor*.log*)
    • zip and send me all the files  (or put it in a location where I can access it)
    • I will analyze and get back

    Thanks
