Usage alerting service is unavailable!

On opening microstation over the last couple of days , users on U11 are receiving the below error. In addition to this it is taking around 2-5mins to open microstation, I presume in an attempt to reach the server??

  • When it is taking 3 or 4 minutes per person to even open the software then that's a lot of lost time if you are a large firm plus all the time users will waste emailing or calling me and then my time to find out what the problem is and report back to them. Fortunately I can count the Connect users currently on the fingers on one hand but if this happens when I have even 40 or 50 people on Connect then that's a huge waste of time.

    Then there is the knock on confidence issues where people will just go back to V8i and stay there unless I force them. If Bentley are going to use cloud licensing then it needs to be bulletproof with multiple redundancy. This does not seem to be the case at the moment. I'm trying to get people using Connect but currently on a number of issues Bentley are shooting me in the foot.
