Since support for SELECTserver is going away July 1, 19, can I still run MicroStation V8i (08.11.09.357) using CONNECTserver? Same question for Descartes and IPLOT and IPLOT Server and drivers.
There has been a MicroStation V8i update released (SS10) that is apparently compatible with CONNECTServer. If you have the permissions, you should be able to get it from the download center. I know that verticals are in the pipeline, but I don't know if they've been released yet.

Thanks for the response, but the point is NOT to upgrade all of my workstations and servers if my current versions of Bentley software will work with CONNECTserver.
That’s a big project site wide and quite frankly I don’t have the time to do it.
I actually don't want to upgrade our software either (OK, it's not my job anymore, but I still feel like part of the team). We use a version of verticals (InRoads SS2) that isn't included in this SS10 rollout. SS10 is only an update for SS4 versions; AFAIK there are no updates for anything previous.
We're still trying to find out how non-SS10 licenses will be handled, but I don't think we've heard back yet.
Mary, I would think that the existing versions (InRoads Ss2) that don't have a Subscription Entitlement Service compatible version would run using the SELECTserver until the discontinued support timeframe but I haven't seen anything official on it.

yep
There is a CONNECT Licensing Adapter for MicroStation SS4, which presumably works with SS2, and SS3, that is currently in the hands of some test users. I don't know the status of this now that MicroStation SS10 has been released, nor if it is going to work with any of the verticals.

There is also the unanswered question of what happens to node-locked non-select licenses that still have to be validated once a year. Will that be supported. My question on another forum has gone unanswered.
