MicroStation Connect Edition doesn't start without network connection. It closes without further notice after showing the splash screen. Connection Client opens with 'Connection Issues' error. Is this expected behavior?MicroStation Connect Edition 10.12.00.40Connection Client 10.00.16.10
Hi Glenn,
Offline usage was fixed and broken at the same time. In 10.00.18.13, you do not get a warning that you are working off line. To experience the issue, 1) Log into Connection Client, 2) disconnect from the network, 3) start Microstation (or you Connected application.) Microstation starts (with a delay) without ever letting the operator know that they are working off line.
--Thanks,--Robert
Hi,
This is a long thread so maybe you missed it, but this was already resolved. From above:
CONNECTION Client 10.00.17.10 is available. MicroStation offline usage seems to be fixed.
MicroStation Connect Edition 10.13.01.01Connection Client 10.00.17.10 (or higher)
Thanks,
Glenn
Thank Oto,
It looks like we need to put a bit of pressure on getting a realistic charging system for these circumstances,. So if there is anyone in the same position please create a change request for it to add your weight to getting it resolved

John.

i guess Bentleys "overusage" charge thing might be ot legal at all. That i call "usury" and here its illegal. I'll check with our legal Department.
Yes for most time it should work as expected except times when there are issues with CONNECTION client or CONNECT licensing server. But there was issue that clicking "Cancel and quit" works for first time but it allows usage if program is opened again. Also if computer is waked from sleep it shows warning but "cancel and quit" doesn't actually close the opened program.
So if users doesn't click allow but there is still overusage then it means there is flaw at Bentley side and the invoice should be cancelled. Locally this Bentley unlimited openaccess usage policy has scared lot of our users so they do not stay at SELECT no matter how we explain it. If the pricing and policy would be more reasonable and pay only for real usage(which technically is possible) but not sending invoices below certain threshold then we could get lot of our clients back.
