We have received an invoice from Bentley for over usage. Having just checked this it appears that Bentley have reported usage by pc's that don't have MicroStation installed and are just been used (when working from home) to access their work pc via VPN/RDP.
I have asked our Account Manager why this has happened but would like to know if any one else has seen this.

don't be silly you can as this is temporal variable. Just after connecting to RDP run CMD and input set %CLIENTNAME%=computer name
What version of Watercad are you using? Is it activated trough connection client(SES)?
Thanks, but we cannot do that. These are our company wide conference room computers and cannot be altered in such a manner. Every other software works just fine....just not Bentley. I guess that should of been expected.
You can workaround the issue by setting CLIENTNAME variable. See my previous comment. Remote desktop sets remote machine name same as client machine name that is why Connect detects it as extra usage.
Thanks for trying to help Robert but this really does us no good if we don't know which one will work with Bentleys convoluted polices and we're not going to try and hope they work within the confusing realm of Bentley polices.
