Accessing Microstation ORD from Trial Version

My administrator has loaded OpenRoads Designer on my laptop, but I am having this error come up when I try to open it. Our network IT cannot locate the problem. Any ideas?

Thank you,

Kevin

  • Hi Kevin,

as Tim wrote, the first step should be to ensure ORD license is available for your account, which means your account is assigned to organization and there is no restriction applied to allowed licenses.

When it seems to be fine (you need discuss it with your license / IT administrator), there are some extra steps you can try:

Try to activate your license. It's not "activation" in fact, but it allows to update policy file on your computer, so it "caches" license(s) for next 7 days period. License activator can be found at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Bentley Shared\CONNECTION Client\LicService\Bentley.Licensing.ActivationWizard.exe

All licenses tools is available through C:\Program Files\Common Files\Bentley Shared\CONNECTION Client\LicService\Bentley.Licensing.LicenseTool.exe and it allows to check what is available for your account (which defined how you are logged through CONNECTION Client). Maybe to check what this tool says will help you to investigate why license is not available.

    With regards,
