most likely there will be no i-model plugin because there is lumenrt export but it is definetly needed to have also i-model export.
Why it is needed because there is no common format which could be used for BIM planning when there is sketch projects to choose from and they are sent in different formats Revit, ACAD, SKP, Collada(dae), OBJ, IFC and so on. So Bentley could be platform where all design variants from different suppliers could be put together for decision making. I-model would be ideal as other formats need to be converted and IFC is not suitable as it doesn't support textures yet.

We recommend trying iTwin Synchronizer Desktop, which can convert SKP files to iModel 2.0 format (BIM) directly.
And what engine iTwin Synchronizer uses? If it is based on Microstation then it is not good at all for converting SKP files.
