Is activation process mandatory for users to use SES products?

I registered 5 new users in the company and they have installed Multiframe CONNECT Edition 22.3. 

While 2 of 5 users says they saw on Activated wizard that they are allowed to use Multiframe,

3 of them had to follow activation process to start the product.

How does the difference occurs?

Could you advise?

    CONNECT Editions of our products can be activated in two ways:

    • By signing in to CONNECTION Client and then just starting the product - if the signed in user has the entitlements for the product, it will get activated without further ado.
    • By running the Activation Wizard in Bentley Licensing Tool - this process activates the product without starting it - or even installing it - on the machine.

    It makes no difference for the licence and activation, which option is used. Usually it's just simpler to sign into CONNECTION Client and start the product.

    Please note that users need to be associated with the account/registered by the account admin/co-admin in User Management.
