Hello
I am trying to import a checked-out license on a machine with no internet access. The machine is running MicroStation 08.11.08.357 and I have checked-out a new license on the Connect portal but using the Select Server option as the license file needs to be in xml format.
The machine name on the license file is correct so is there any other reason why this would be rejected?
Thanks
Paul
Hi, when a checked out license file is generated, the computer name must be specified. So, the message seems to suggest that the computer name generated with the license file does not match the computer name of the computer you are trying to use it on. The computer name can be retrieved from the System control panel. If the wrong computer name was used when generating the license file, you will need to check it back in and then generate another license file with the correct, matching computer name.

Thanks Jesse,
i tried the link you included and followed the instructions using the License Management Tool and got the same results
The machine name is definitely correct but the naming of the license file is slightly different, this is the expired license
and here is the newly created one
The Select license checkout option on the CONNECT portal doesn't allow for user names, just email address. I presume changing the file name wouldn't work?!
Is mise,

Hi Paul, no, I do not believe changing the file name would work as the computer name field I believe is part of what is inside the file. Try opening it in a text editor such as Wordpad or Notepad++.
Someone from our Licensing, Cloud and Web Services team here may need to assist. We may need to obtain a copy of the file (via private message or Service Request - please do not share publicly) along with a screenshot showing your computer name.
I've started a Service Request and included the information your mentioned, we'll be back in business soon I'm sure!
