Select Server Activation

I'm running Select Server 8.11.1.64 on my network server, Windows Server 2003 and made a bit of a boo boo.

between powerfailures and being really busy I forgot to run the Select Server again and subsequintly didn't send usage logs from Select server.  I though something was abit wierd and when I looked now, everything seems to be locked on the Select Server.  There is only two option I can click on, the one is Manage Services and the other is Transmit Usage Logs.

When I try to show Manage Services to restart Select Server al I get is in red letter when last I've send a log.  When I go to Transmit Usage logs, it opens up, but doesn't allow me to click on any icons or send any logs, I cannot create a file to send and it also tells me that No Records were found.

This is obviously a mistake on my part, but can anyone guide me as to how to get all of this up and running again?  Uninstall and Re-install select server maybe?

 Thanks

  • The inability to run the services is a bug in SELECT Server (sorry about that :-) ).   The easiest way to work around the issue is to.

    •  Click Start then Run
    • Type CMD
    • Type NET START "Bentley SELECT Server"
    • Advance your systems clock to Yesterday's date at 23:58
    • Let the system run for about 10 -15 minutes

This will cause the nightly processing to run at mid night like it normally does and transmit the logs as it typically would.

Reset you servers time and the admin site should beging working as expected.
