SelectServer Gateway only Download (non-x64)

Hello,

I have tried to download the non X64 version of the SelectServer gateway from the software downloads using the Advanced Download Manager.   It fails when it is almost complete.  The x64 select server download completes successfully.  (I downloaded both versions because I wasn't sure exactly which I'd need.)   Has anyone else had this issue?  It is possible the error is with the firewall at my site, though.

While I am writing this,  is 08.11.07.35 the v8i version of Select Server?  Will that version of the gateway support V8 2004 edtition?

Thanks!

  • Hi Anthony,

Version 08.11.07.35 of SELECTserver Gateway Service will license your Bentley software all the way back to version J (07.00.xx.xx) so your 2004 edition products are covered.  Regarding the advanced download manager, here is a copy of the troubleshooting guide.

If this doesnt work out, give the standard download method a try.

If you experience an error when attempting to download files via this screen, it may be caused by:
A security setting that is too restrictive
The existence of pop-up blocking software
To remedy this, please ensure that:
    Pop-up blocking software is disabled
Your Internet Explorer Security Settings are set as follows:
    Enable components signed with Authenticode
Prompt when Downloading signed ActiveX controls
    Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins
Script ActiveX Controls marked as safe for scripting
    Enable file downloads
    Active Scripting Enable
NOTE: These are the default custom security settings for Internet Explorer.

Once you have disabled any pop-up blocking software, simply return to the previous page to try again.

    This is a test

  • If anyone is interested I installed SelectServer gateway on Windows 7 64-bit.  I downloaded the 64-bit version 08.11.07.35 and used created the msv8.lic and geopak.lic file in the Bentley/Program/License folder.  Even state DOT workspaces are functioning properly.
