Bentley Download...

Thanks for pointing that out, Andreas, and we are looking into it, but the simple matter of the fact is that we do not have a timeline to work within regarding this.

I recommend setting the old downloads page as the default on Bentley's site, and move the new downloads back to beta until it works better than the older version.

I placed a support ticket to have someone from TSG show me how to use the new web downloads, because I could not get it to work for me. What I learned is to enter my search term, then wait up to 60 seconds and there is a dynamic drop down where I can search from. When I select an item, the right side will eventually filter, but again it can take quite some time (it can be a minute or more). Then I can often view the downloads I want.

While on the support call, the person I was working with suggested jumping back to the old version to find the download I was looking, because we could not find it with the new version.

I'm trying to not come of as just mean and nasty here, because someone clearly put a lot of work into the new downloads version. It just does not work as well as the old version. It is functionally for me much much slower and I find it harder to use. I'm available to do a screen share and share my experience with the develop to try to help and improve this to be part of the solution instead of someone complaining. I have to download a lot of software so I would like to see it improved. I was/am happy with the previous system.
