Lately when someone has opened an analysis software, for instance RAM Elements, the license will not always check back in in a timely fashion after they close the program. I just noticed that one of the people who had opened RAM Elements today had the license file checked out until the 20th, even though they did not intend to check it our for two days, is there any reason why this would be happening?
This issue often indicates an installation-related issue with the Bentley IEG License Service on the workstation. I recommend installing the latest version available (version 2.0.20.1 as of July 25, 2012). If the most current version is already installed, uninstall it and reinstall it as a troubleshooting step.
