In our organisation, we have procured a number of licenses for Bentley Microstation and related products. On my Desktop I use, Bentley Microstation v8i and Bentley Microstation v8i Map.
During the installation of the product, I followed all the instructions for procuring the license from the locally deployed Select Server to the T. On two different desktops running two different platforms (Win 7 and Win XP - both licensed versions).
In spite of the fact that I repeatedly check License Management, it shows MS Bentley Trial is about to end in XX days and asks me to activate the SW. And everytime I do this, but the "Trial version" does not go away.In fact in one of my desktops the product has gone in to the "Disabled" mode.
The internet forums are not very clear about the answer, although there appears to be a number of posts on a quick Google Search.
To start, I'd first make sure your systems can communicate with the select server. Second, in Microstation, go to Utilities....License mgmt. In the LM Tool, go to Tools....Send Logs Now. That might solve the problem or point out what to check out next.
