Node lock license has been issued for a period of 365 days (expires in 1 year)

 After cancellation of SELECT subscription I activated a Node lock license and noticed on the License Management Tool that a Node lock license has been issued for a period of 365 days (1 year). 
 If it is a Node lock license why will it expire?

In the License Management Tool you see an expiration date of check out (during this time the license will stay in your machine, you will be able to use it only on that machine). 
 This expiration date does NOT imply that you will lose the license after 365 days. 
 After 365 days the license will go back to the SELECTserver Online and you will be able to pull it to another (or the same machine). You will need to repeat activation procedure ( communities.bentley.com/.../5278.aspx ) every year. 
 Check out limited for 365 days is designed to prevent you from loosing Bentley software in case your computer was damaged (license goes back to the server after the period of 365 days is over therefore you do not lose your software together with your hardware).
