&lt;p&gt;1. Option &amp;ldquo;&lt;strong&gt;SELECT subscriber activating against a hosted (Bentley) SELECT Server&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;rdquo; is for SELECT users activating against SELECTserver Online. This should be chosen if your licenses are held on server Hosted by Bentley. This way your applications connect directly to a Bentley Hosted server via the internet using the server name: selectserver.bentley.com.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;2. Option &amp;quot;&lt;strong&gt;SELECT subscriber with a deployed (local) SELECT server&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;rdquo; - for user which&amp;nbsp;has a SELECTserver installed locally or activates a home use license. This way&amp;nbsp;applications connect to&amp;nbsp;user&amp;#39;s locally installed server using&amp;nbsp;his local server name.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;3. &amp;ldquo;&lt;strong&gt;NON-SELECT or Node locked user&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;rdquo; &amp;ndash; option is&amp;nbsp;for user which doesn&amp;rsquo;t have a SELECT agreement (non-select) or activates node lock&amp;nbsp;(version and machine specific)&amp;nbsp;licenses. Default server name: ProductActivation.bentley.com.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;4. &amp;ldquo;&lt;strong&gt;Evaluation Only &amp;ndash; No license information&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;rdquo; &amp;ndash; should be chosen when activating unlicensed and in trial mode (evaluation mode) software.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;It&amp;#39;s not clear what you mean.&amp;nbsp; Perhaps a screenshot would help illustrate your question.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The answer is in the details. In general all contact to support should have some basic information. When it comes to SELECTServer I&amp;#39;d like to see the following information.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;1)&amp;nbsp;Exact version number of SELECTserver installed.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;2)&amp;nbsp;Server or workstation operating system? Is it 32 or 64 bit? &lt;br /&gt;3)&amp;nbsp;What error are you seeing on the server (a screen capture would be helpful) When the admin page first opens what is displayed?&lt;br /&gt;4)&amp;nbsp;What error are you seeing on the client &amp;ldquo; if applicable&amp;rdquo; (a screen capture would be helpful)&lt;br /&gt;5)&amp;nbsp;Zipped copy of the &amp;ldquo;C:\Program Files\Bentley\SELECTServer\Logs&amp;rdquo; directory (or the root directory of where you installed the application&lt;br /&gt;6) &amp;nbsp;Copy of your serial number and activation key&amp;nbsp; (&lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Never post your activation keys in a&amp;nbsp;forum. There are directions for appropriate secure communications&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Some variation of this information should be provided for specific clients when the questions is concerning product activation.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Please provided some detailed information including a capture of the specific issue in question.&lt;/p&gt;
