How to create Temporary Activation keys
Temporary site activation keys allow you to provide a user with anactivation key that expires on a given day. They are designed for a userwho needs temporary access to an application and / or users who you donot want to give your primary site activation key to. Usage ofapplications activated with a temporary activation key will be recordedagainst the Site that the key is assigned to. Note: There is no means totrack application usage by activation key.To Create a Temporary Activation Key.You need to access the link below.Note: To perform the operation the user needs to have a log in, passwordand permissions to perform the action.For Hostedhttp://selectserver.bentley.com/bss/admin/For Deployedhttp://(servername)/bss/admin1. Go the Select Server webpage admin2. Login with your user name and password3. Go Site Configuration4. Select a site to configure if there is multiple site5. Select the NEW KEY tab6. A new Dialog Box Will open with the details of the temporaryactivation key which starts with TK_7. You may have an option to Set an expiration date or set to NeverExpires8. Enter a description9. Select an option either to restrict the Temporary activation key to aspecific license or set to no restrictions.Restrict the applications available to this activation key. If norestrictions are configured, then all of the sites applications will beavailable for use.10. Once finished you can save it and supply the Temporary Activationkey. Please note that this will be stored for future editing or if youwant to delete it.
