SELECTserver Gateway, Windows services Fails to Start

Problem

SELECTserver Gateway Windows services fails to start. When you try to start it, it takes some time and then it fails.

Solution

In Services (Windows Administrive Tools > Services) right click on "Bentley SELECTserver Gateway", Properties go to "Log On"-tab. Change the "Log on as" to "This account" and provide a domain account with internet access. Use this login format: domainname\domeinusername, password, password (confirmation) and apply (OK or  Apply). Then, from the General-tab, (re)start the service.
