Problem

How to run SELECTserver inside a DMZ or Demilitarized Zone. What ports to open, etc. so that a license file and updates can be retrieved and log files can be sent.

Solution

If placing SELECTserver (non Gateway) in the DMZ you will need to open whatever port you are running the BSS website on (port 80 by default). If you are putting a SELECTserver Gateway in the DMZ you will need to open port 3998.
