    IP Address Hosted Server

    Problem

    The IP address of the Hosted License Server (SELECTserver online) changed on 1st May 2021

    Usually, the IP address is not necessary for access to the Hosted server.

    In special cases, it is required due to internal company security settings.

    What is the new IP address?

    Solution

    Update 8th of June 2021:

    We NO Longer support the notion of static IP addresses for SELECTserver.

    It is not possible to provide an IP Range.

    The solution for the user is to stop IP Filtering.

    Which domains does the SELECTserver Product Activation access?

    Whitelist *.Bentley.com, or the following. A description of each domain's purpose is provided below:

    • buddi.bentley.com – Provides current URLs for services so that addresses need not be hard-coded into client products. HTTPS – Simple post / get requests asking for a URL by name and returning the latest location URI
    • SELECTserver.bentley.com – public dns entry for SELECTserver.  Used to route requests to the closest server to the user.
    • ims.bentley.com – Authenticates a Bentley user to utilize Bentley online services.  OAUTH Protocols over HTTPS
    • usermanagement.bentley.com – Bentley’s IMS User Management portal, Used to administer IMS logins.  HTTPS Traffic
    • connect-entitlementmanagement.bentley.com – Used to manage entitlements, replaces the SELECTserver Admin interface
    • waz-search.bentley.com – Search service that Bentley applications use to retrieve user profile data and notifications.  HTTPS traffic, simple POSTS and GETS
    • connect-ulastm.bentley.com – Various web services used for activating products and tracking product usage. Mandatory for using SES software.  HTTPS, POSTS, GETS,   Details of what software was used when, by what machine and user
    • connect-evaluationentitlementservice.bentley.com – Provides evaluation licenses created in the Subscription Entitlement Service   HTTPS Web Services
    • reporting.bentley.com – used to view usage reports, replaces the reporting portion of the SELECTserver admin portal.

    NOTE:

    We do not give IP addresses as they are not static and could change at any time.

    What port needs to be open?

    The default for SELECTserver products is Port 80,  Unless you checked the use HTTPS option the the Options of the License Management tool  In which case you will need Port 443

    To access any of the portals you will need to open Port 443
