Problem

When trying to read a response file larger than 7.93 MB on the Deployed Server, the following message appears:
404 - File or directory not found

There may also be errors like:

Http Error 404.13 - Not Found
The request filtering module is configured to deny a request that exceeds the request content length.
Application: Maximum request length exceeded

Solution

The Deployed License server is configured to accept Manual Response Files up to 7.93 MB in size. This limit was sufficient for years.

As the product definitions contained in this file have grouwn with new products, the size of the threshold is approaching. The long-term solution is a web.config file configured for manual response files up to 18 MB in size.

Note:
To download you must be logged in to the Bentley Communities.
Save the file in your SELECTserver folder, by default that would be at C:\Program Files\Bentley\SELECTserver

Subsequently, the reading of the Response File should be possible.
If not, please reset the webserver and try again:
