Editing Component Properties
To edit a Component’s properties, click the Edit icon in the Properties dialog

Editing Component Name
You can rename a Component by typing over the existing name the clicking the Save icon.

Editing Component Description
You can change a component’s description by typing over the existing description then clicking the Save icon.

Editing Component Category
You can change a component’s category by selecting a new one from the pull-down pick-list then clicking the Save icon.

Editing Component Manufacturer
You can change a component’s manufacturer by selecting a new one from the pull-down pick-list then clicking the Save icon.

Editing Component State
You can change a component’s State by selecting a new one from the pull-down pick-list then clicking the Save icon.

Note: only “Published” components are shown in the desktop clients

Editing Component Application
You can change a component’s application by selecting a new one from the pull-down pick-list then clicking the Save icon.

Editing Component Tags
You can add new or remove existing tags from a component by typing in the Tags box and hitting <Enter> or clicking the “x” button on an existing tag then clicking the Save icon.

Editing Multiple Components
You can edit multiple components at once by selecting multiple components and clicking the properties icon. Values that differ between selected components will display “Mixed”. Any change to a field will affect all selected components.

Adding Reference Files and Links
You can add new references files to a component by clicking the Add Reference button that allows you to add either Reference Files or Links.

Adding Reference Files
You can select a file or multiple files using the <Shift> or <Ctrl> keys then click the open button to begin the upload process. Click Cancel to cancel the process.

Your reference files will now be visible in the References tab and will also be available in any of the desktop clients once the component is published

Deleting Reference Files
You can add delete a reference file by clicking the Delete Reference button the clicking Confirm on the Delete Reference dialog. Clicking Cancel will cancel the process.

Downloading Reference Files
You can add download a reference file by clicking the Download Reference button. The reference file will be automatically downloaded to the users Download folder

Adding Links
You can add a link by providing a name for the link and a well formatted URL then clicking the Add button to complete the process.

Opening a Link
You can open a Link by clicking the Open Link icon next to the Link. This will open your default browser and navigate to the link defined.

Updating Thumbnails
You can update a Component’s Thumbnail but hovering over the component, clicking the Upload Thumbnail icon and selecting a new image file from your desktop. It will be uploaded and will replace the existing thumbnail.
