Overview

The following error message indicates that a problem has occurred on the Web server that hosts the Administrative Web site for SELECTserver. When you try to access content on a server that is running Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.0, IIS 7.0 returns a numeric code that indicates the status of the response. The HTTP status code indicates that the server cannot complete the request because the server encountered an error: (HTTP Error 500.21 - Internal server error) Module not recognized. The correct .NET Framwork version may not be specified in the SELECTserver application pool.

Handler "PageHandlerFactory-Integrated" has a bad module "ManagedPipelineHandler" in its module list

Solution:

Make sure that the SELECTserver application pool has the correct ASP.NET Framework version. Go to Control Panel and open the Administrative Tools folder and run Internet Information Services Manager. Expand the Server folder under the Connections pane then select the SELECTServer Application Pool. If the .NET Framework Version shows “No Managed Code”, than that is the problem. Right click on the SELECTServer Application Pool and choose Advanced Settings. From the dropdown menu of the .NET Framework Version column choose the appropriate version of ASP.NET installed. Click OK to save changes.
