Virtualized environments provide a significant advantage for the management of organizations’ IT infrastructure by providing control and access for multiple users connecting to applications or session-based desktops on a shared Remote Desktop Services server. Bentley Systems has validated our Subscription Entitlement Service operation in the following environments. In many cases, there are certain configurations of the virtualized environment that may lead to a breach of our Terms of Use. We've tried to outline the conditions that need to be met to assure that the entitlement and usage reporting of Bentley applications can continue to comply these Terms of Use, but it is ultimately the responsibility of the organization using the product to configure the virtual environment so that the Terms of Use are met. For more information, please read Important notice about use of Bentley products in virtual environments.
For virtual environments that use a remoting protocol, it will be beneficial to understand how that usage will be logged. The behavior has been documented in How remote usage is recorded.
If there are any questions about the user of one of these virtual environments, please contact your account manager or Bentley Support.
