CONNECTION Client Fails to Sign In - Windows 7 machine

    Product(s): Connection Client
    Version(s): 11.X. and newer
    Area: Access

    Problem

Unable to sign in to the CONNECTION Client 11.x or newer version on Windows 7 machine.

You are presented with the following error:

    Solution

Important: CONNECTION Client is no longer being tested on Windows 7 PCs because Microsoft no longer supports that version of the operating system. New CONNECTION Client versions going forward require Windows 8.1 or later.

If you are unable to upgrade to a Microsoft-supported OS and using Windows 7, downgrade the CONNECTION Client to version 10.00.19.31. See Windows 7 End of Support - Microsoft 365

    • To check CONNECTION Client version:
      • Search for Control Panel in Windows Search option
      • Navigate to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features - you should be able to see the CONNECTION Client version.

    • To downgrade the CONNECTION Client:
      • Uninstall the current version of the CONNECTION Client from the Control Panel.
      • Download CONNECTION Client v. 10.00.19.31 from the Software Downloads page.
      • Install it and append to sign in again.
