Problem Description

Automated processes that open Subscription Entitlement Service-based Bentley products cannot rely upon CONNECTION Client being signed in. They must consistently obtain a license regardless of whether CONNECTION Client is signed in.

Steps to Resolve

Check out a license for use by the automated process with the following steps:

1. Check out a license for the server itself using the following instructions.
2. Log into the server as the user account that runs the automated process.
3. Use the following instructions to import the resulting license file via the Bentley Licensing Tool.
   Important: If importing the license file via a remote session, please ensure CONNECTION Client 11.00.02.16 or later is installed. Use the following link to obtain the latest version of CONNECTION Client.
